Jeff Monahan has over ten years’ experience in the entertainment and sports industry.  He is passionate about protecting his clients’ creative expressions and helping them monetize their talent to the maximum potential.

For example, when Mr. Monahan began practicing law he reviewed music contracts for an international recording artist and national ad campaign.  This experience prepared him to solve “the ugliest situation I have ever seen,” as one person described it, involving a band whose former manager stole their music (literally) and cashed their royalty checks for several years.  Jeff sued the manager and regained control of their entire catalog.

Currently, Jeff is negotiating the acquisition of literary works for adaptation to a screenplay.  He also advises a writer on terms for optioning her script.  Mr. Monahan actively participates in the Beverly Hills Bar Association Entertainment Law section to keep abreast of changes in the law.
